Cake Care & Cutting Guide
Cake Care & Handling
-
Rule of thumb: Cakes don't like heat and humidity.
-
Please keep the cake refrigerated for as long as possible until prior to the party.
-
For best consumption, please let the cake sit out from the refrigerator for at least 15 - 30 mins so the buttercream can soften.
-
On very humid days, you may see your cake start to 'sweat' when you remove your cake from the refrigerator.
You can gently dab the beads of moisture with a piece of tissue paper whilst the buttercream is firm to prevent any damage to cake design. -
For party displays, cakes are able to sit at room temperature for 1 hour (not under direct sunlight and high humidity), and up to 3 hours in an air-conditioned room.
-
When cutting into cakes with a cream filling, please be mindful of the white paper straw in the center of the cake(straw is for cake stability).
Cake Cutting Guide
-
For the best cake cuts, use a sharp kitchen knife.
-
Please remove all non-edible decorations (e.g. candles, fresh florals, toys, cake topper etc.) before cutting.
-
The following guide helps you get the most servings out of your cake (they are approximations at best).
